Vatican Obelisk

St. Peter Enthroned

This sculpture of St. Peter, famous the world over, is generally attributed to 13th century sculptor Arnolfo di Cambio, though some historians argue that it may be as old as the fifth century. The statue is so loved that the left foot has been worn down from centuries of visitors touching it.
